German Association for Jewish Studies and Jewish Theology

The German Association for Jewish Studies represents the interests of scholars active in Hebrew and Judaic Studies, Jewish Studies, and Jewish Theology in Germany. The association aims to foster research and teaching in the above mentioned disciplines and put a particular emphasis on the support of emerging scholars.The Association is represented in the Academic Advisory Board of the FID.


Vereinigung für Jüdische Studien e. V.

The Vereinigung für Jüdische Studien e. V. represents the interests of Jewish Studies within German universities and across academic, educational, cultural, and scientific institutions both nationally and internationally. It aims to bring together and advocate for their shared interests of scholars and organizations engaged in Jewish history and culture in its widest scope.

The Vereinigung is represented in the Academic Advisory Board of the FID.


European Association for Jewish Studies

The European Association for Jewish Studies (EAJS) is the sole umbrella organisation for Europe representing the academic field of Jewish Studies. Its primary aim is to encourage and support the research and teaching of Jewish studies at university level in Europe, and other places of higher education and learning.


Association of Jewish Libraries

Die Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) ist eine internationale Berufsorganisation, die den Zugang zu Informationen und Forschung in allen Medienformen rund um das Thema Judentum fördert. Die Vereinigung fördert die jüdische Literalität und Wissenschaft und bietet eine Gemeinschaft für gegenseitige Unterstützung und berufliche Entwicklung.


Association for Jewish Studies

The Association for Jewish Studies (AJS) is the the largest learned society and professional organization representing Jewish Studies scholars worldwide. AJS’s mission is to advance research and teaching in Jewish Studies at colleges, universities, and other institutions of higher learning, and to foster greater understanding of Jewish Studies scholarship among the wider public.


World Union of Jewish Studies

The World Union of Jewish Studies is an international organization that promotes Jewish studies worldwide. The Union has advanced Jewish studies through conferences, publications, and grants, in order to encourage research and the exchange of ideas between scholars. 


Association for Israel Studies

The Association for Israel Studies (AIS) is an organization open to scholars in the social sciences and humanities engaged in research on topics related to the State of Israel. 


European Association of Israel Studies

The European Association of Israel Studies is an independent, scholarly association devoted to the academic study of Israel, including the study of Israeli society, politics, and culture, and the historical development of these aspects.
